Actually, I can't rate this campground. We stopped by to check it out, which we've done at countless other parks, both public and private. We were stopped at the entrance. When I told the guy we just wanted to drive through to take a look at the park to see if we'd like to stay there, we were refused, told to turn around and leave. We would never, ever, ever, stay at such a snotty and rude place, no matter how perfect it might seem.

This is a large, efficient rv park. It is very clean, sites are level, gravel with concrete patios. There is some grass between sites and around the perimeter of the park. The sites are fairly well spaced but there isn't a lot of landscaping, which can be both good and bad. We had no problem getting our satellite reception, but there's no shade or screening from neighbors. It was not very convenient to get to the dog walking areas, and there was a lot of loose grass to get tracked back in to the rig. We didn't have a lot of interaction with office staff, and we didn't shop in the store there. Navigating the roads was not a problem with our 40' motor home and tow car. It's off the main road a bit, so there isn't a lot of road noise, but there is a rock or cement processing business nearby and they start work pretty early in the morning. We wanted to stay longer, but they were booked up for a holiday weekend. It was convenient to lots of attractions around Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains. We would stay here again.

We are adults who do not travel with children, so this was a fine park for us. We had a large back-in site right next to the pond. There was plenty of space between us and the neighbors. It was a little tense coming into and leaving the park with our 40' motor home because it's a steep down hill driveway, but otherwise, we had no problem navigating to and from our site. The pool was closed for the season, and we didn't use the game room. I did use the laundromat which was clean as a whistle. The office staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed here a week while exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway, Smoky Mountains and Biltmore Estate. The park models mentioned in an earlier review didn't detract from our experience here, we were in a section of the park where "short-term" visitors were parked. The wifi worked ok, cable was fine, no problems with other utilities. We'd stay here again.

They say they are accessible for big rigs, and it's true, we did get in, but we brought several tree branches along with us!! We don't fit in the site they gave us, so we are partially blocking the road. The turns are extremely tight for us, take warning if you have a 40' or longer motorhome, don't try this one. They did not have full hookups.

This is a very large campground that feels like it's run by a corporation. There are many cabins as well as RV and tent sites. Even though it's big, the section we were in offered a fair amount of privacy and quiet. We were in the section that can access satellite TV, so we didn't have a direct view of the lake (Huron). That's OK, though, because it looked pretty crowded along the lake. It was an easy walk to get to the lake, so it was just right for us. From the lake shore, there is a nice view of Mackinac Bridge and Island. The water had a bad smell and was off color, so we tried not to use it. The sites were mainly gravel and fairly level. The office staff was a little stand-offish at first, but when I needed to talk to them several times about some mail I was expecting, they were very friendly and helpful. The dumpsters are located at the entrance to the park, so you must carry it out when you leave.

Nice park which is especially family-oriented. The turn into the park is not visible until you are right there. There are several levels of sites, so there may be a steep climb to get to the site. Our site was quite large so we didn't feel crowded, even though most of the sites were full. We were here 2 days, but didn't use the pool or hot tub as it was cool and rainy.

When we walked into the filthy, messy office, we nearly turned around and walked out again. This park shows much wear and tear and very little maintenance and care. We did stay 2 nights, but mostly because it's convenient and cheap. Most of the sites appear to be occupied by permanent residents and are unsightly, to say the least. There isn't much good to say about the place, except that the Wi-Fi works. We wouldn't use the laundry because of the filthy appearance. The owner sits in front of the office, smoking, almost all day. We won't stay here again. The nearest grocery and other facilities are in Fairmont, about 9 miles away.

This is a good park, big rig access, although the roads getting there are a little narrow for large motor homes. We were assigned a long pull through that was out in the open. It was not very level though, it took us awhile to solve that. A lot of sites are hidden in the trees where it's always shady. They recently added a big water slide, so this is a great park for families with kids. They do have Wi-Fi, but it's not a very strong signal. It's about 45 minutes to Green Bay, about 20 minutes from Sturgeon Bay. Great place to explore!

This is a really nice campground. It's well maintained. The owners are on site and taking good care of the place. They made sure we got a site that we could access satellite TV. There is Wi-Fi, although not really strong. The sites are fairly level and easy to get in and out of. We didn't get around to using the pool, but it looked clean. There is a train that runs right next to the campground, but it only runs once or twice a day, at most. It seems to be a local line that transports mainly lumber. There's a walking trail that is well-maintained, like everything else in the park. We would definitely return here.

This must be one of Michigan's best kept secret campgrounds. We found the listing in a booklet we got at a tourist information center. When I called the number to see if they had space available, there was a recording saying the office was closed for the winter. There were a couple of other numbers given and I finally reached a person who said there were spaces and no, they weren't closed (but the fairground offices were). It took us two tries to find the campground. It's way at the back of the fairgrounds, so it isn't visible when you first turn into the fairgrounds. It's very basic, no frills, but it was a nice place to park overnight. The electric is only 30 amp, but it was good enough. No sewer hookups but they do have a dump station. The sites are grass, not well marked, and not all are very level. It's pretty laid back, and there were only 2 other rigs there, other than the campground host.

This was a lot nicer than I expected it to be. Although getting in and out with a big rig was a little tricky, we had no problem. It's a Passport America park and the PA website directions say to turn in by the BP station, but it's a Mobil station now. The park itself is very clean and well kept. Some sites are gravel, but we were on a concrete pad. The sites are somewhat close together, but we've been in parks that were a lot worse. The pool is shared with the Super 8 motel right next to the park. We stayed here 2 nights. It's definitely one of the nicer short-term parks we've been to, especially for Passport America. Even though it's right off interstate 90, the noise is not bad. We would stay here again.

OK for overnight stay, although I think we paid too much for what we got. Roads were reasonably easy to navigate. Gravel roads, gravel sites. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean. I did notice a lot of mosquitoes in the area. It's a very short walk to Wall Drugs.

The rate doesn't include the daily park fee of $4.00 per vehicle. It is also extra to use the pool, which is not at the campground. It is a beautiful park, well maintained and generally quiet. We stayed 4 nights. We had no trouble getting a satellite signal, we were in the upper section. The roads were paved, with paved sites. We did have trouble getting level, however. There were also a lot of ticks around. We would stay here again.

We picked this park based on reviews from this site and another forum. We paid for 2 weeks, and ended up extending that twice, staying nearly a month. It was hard to leave, as we love it there! The owners are former semi-truck drivers who understand how important it is to be able to maneuver big rigs. They've done all the work in this campground themselves. We had no trouble getting our 40' motor home and tow car in and out. The sites are level, plenty long enough for big rigs. The space between sites is grass. Access roads are gravel. The horse camp portion is well-separated from the RV section. The Wi-Fi is very strong and fast. Water and electric service is very good. There are no tall trees right in the campground, but they have a lot of trees planted, so in a few years, there will be shade. We had no trouble getting satellite to lock on from our site in the north row, facing north. They have an ice cream social every evening. The owners are great people, very friendly and helpful. The view of the spires and needles in the Black Hills is great. It's close enough to all the attractions in the area to be a great base camp. We definitely will go back to this great little campground!

This was a nice campground, friendly staff and well maintained. The pool is large and looks clean, although we didn't use it. The sites are dirt/gravel with grass in between. The sites are fairly large, quite a bit of space in between sites. It was a little on the expensive side, though. It's very convenient to interstate 80 but the noise isn't too bad. We would stay here again.

We stayed here 2 different times in June. Even though it says OK for big rigs, and we did get in and out with our 40' motor home, it was a tight squeeze. The sites are straight in, not angled, and the roads are very narrow. If the person in the row in front of us hadn't left before us, we'd have had a real challenge getting out. The sites are dirt, so if it's been raining, there are mud holes all over the place. It's OK for a basic overnight stay.

Even though the Pikes Peak Region is a high profile tourist area, the campground selection is limited. In our opinion, even though this park is expensive, so are the few others in the region, and at least this one has roomy sites and is well-run. We parked in the "low rent" area but it's still $45 a night. The access roads are gravel, and the sites are dirt and gravel with a few sparse patches of grass. Each site has a picnic table. There are two playgrounds, a small mini-golf course, a swimming pool and hot tub. The pool and hot tub were closed, they probably don't open until after Memorial Day. The park is located right off busy I-25, so there is constant highway noise. It's also near busy train tracks, so the train whistle blows at all hours of the day and night. In addition, it's just across the interstate from the training area at Fort Carson army base, so at times it's like living in a war zone, listening to the big guns going off. Fountain Creek runs next to the park. It is downstream of the Colorado Springs water treatment facility, and if the wind is blowing just right, there can be an unpleasant odor in the air. It is convenient to all of the tourist attactions, there is shopping nearby, and there is a view of the mountains. The staff is generally friendly, they pick up your trash at the rig each morning. They keep the area clean, but they could be a little more strict about people picking up after their dogs. We will likely stay here again in the future, as we have family in the area that we visit each year.

This new park is still under construction, with sites still being developed. There are paved roads. The sites are rock that is hard to walk on, be careful. Most sites are very wide and there are trees between many of them. This park is about 10 miles from any shopping, but backs up to the desert so there are plenty of walking and hiking opportunities. The laundry room is small, with only one little table for folding clothes. There are 8 washers and 8 dryers. There are very limited recreational activities now, but they are building a putting green and a pickle ball court. They take checks and cash, no credit cards. We would stay here again.

We stayed one night in a site that was huge! There wasn't anyone on either side of us. This probably isn't a real complete or representative review, since we weren't here during their busiest time, but I liked the way we were treated and I sure liked the size of our site. We'd stay here again.

We only stayed here one night, but it seemed like a good place. The sites in the pull through area we were in were large and roomy. The orange trees were full of oranges which we were allowed to pick for our "immediate use". It was rainy the night we were there so it was a bit muddy, but the ground was more sandy so it wasn't too bad. The staff seemed friendly and efficient. We'd stay here again.

Seriously, if you don't like highway noise and extreme crowding, don't come here. The upper level sites are right next to the highway with trucks using jake brakes. The lower level is so crowded you can hear the neighbors' snoring. They charge extra for pets, the wifi is free, but if the "resort" is full, you will get kicked off the network frequently. We paid over $600 for 2 weeks and that's for the lowest-price sites. One night they ran the sprinklers and our steps got wet and froze. If I'd taken the dogs out before daylight, I might not have noticed that ice, could have had a bad fall. Yes, it's new and all neat and clean but that doesn't make up for the crowding. We won't stay here again.

We agree that this is a very nicely kept park. There are drawbacks. Sites are very small and close together. Luckily, we don't have rigs on either side of us or we'd feel VERY cramped. We made reservations months in advance and the price was raised before we got here, they did not honor the quoted price. Also, they charge 2% extra for credit card transactions, they "prefer" personal checks. And, they charge extra for pets, we paid $20 more for a month for 2 dogs. They charge $20 a month extra for cable and extra for wifi. The store is only open from 12 to 4. You can only get your mail from 1 to 4. There is no escort to your site. There are 2 dumpsters located at the back of the park, so if you're not close to them, you have quite a walk. And make sure your dog doesn't have an "accident" on the way to the dog walk!

We stayed here at least 3 times over the last year for family reasons. The last time we were assigned a site near the office. We couldn't get our satellite signal so we asked to be moved down to the north end of the park where we'd stayed before. The staff was ok with that and we found a site from which we could get our signal to work. Generally we like this park. The sites in the north end are very spacious and level. In the south section where the office is located, some sites are small and not level. As other reviews indicate, there is a lot of beautiful landscaping in this park. The staff was friendly and helpful for the most part. Wifi provider has recently been changed to Tengo, and we've had trouble with them everywhere. We used the little laundromat in the north end of the park, the washers don't do a very good job. The pool is not heated, but it's nice in the hottest months. It's a convenient location in the metroplex.

The roads into the campground are steep and narrow, but big rigs do get in. We didn't use the pool because it was a little chilly and the pool isn't heated. The hot tub looked run down and not very well maintained. The wifi is free and worked great the whole time we stayed, 12 nights. The biggest drawback for us are the terrible burrs everywhere. Our dogs were miserable walking, especially in the "grass". I was constantly pulling these painful stickers out of their paws. The laundry is small and the dryers took forever.

This is a very nice COE park with large sites that are well spaced from each other. We had a site with clear view of southern sky for our satellite dish. Verizon cell phone reception was good. People feed the deer, so there are always opportunities to view them. Belton Lake is next to this campground. Due to floods this season, the fishing docks were not accessible. We stayed here 4 nights. It's about 8 miles to the nearest shopping. The only problem we had was ants getting into the motorhome.
